Mining & Rare Earths

Mining & rare earths workforce housing.

Workforce camps for lithium, rare earths, and critical minerals projects across Nevada, Wyoming, Montana, and Arkansas. Built for remote sites, extreme conditions, and multi-year programs.

01 · Overview

The U.S. critical minerals build-out needs housing first.

Domestic lithium, rare earths, and critical minerals production is happening — and it is happening in remote environments most providers cannot reach. BPK reaches them.

The U.S. is reshoring critical minerals production. Lithium for batteries. Rare earths for electronics, defense, and clean energy. Boron, cobalt, and other strategic minerals. Most of these projects are in extremely remote sites — northern Nevada, southwestern Arkansas, Wyoming, Montana — with no surrounding population centers and no existing housing capacity.

BPK has deployed workforce housing for the Rhyolite Ridge Lithium-Boron Project in northern Nevada, the Southwest Arkansas Lithium projects in the Smackover formation, and rare earths workforce sites across Wyoming and Montana. These are not typical workforce environments — they are remote, extreme-weather, multi-year programs that demand reliability over long deployment windows.

Mining workforce camps share characteristics with both oilfield and corporate workforce: the operational tempo is closer to oilfield (extended shifts, demanding work), but the duration is closer to corporate (multi-year programs requiring retention). BPK configures camps to that hybrid reality.

05 · Frequently Asked

What buyers in this sector actually ask.

What types of mining projects has BPK deployed for?
BPK has supported lithium extraction projects (Rhyolite Ridge in Nevada, Southwest Arkansas Lithium), rare earths mining in Wyoming and Montana, and boron and strategic minerals operations.
How does BPK handle extreme remote-site logistics?
Remote-site mining camps require specific logistics planning: water and wastewater hauling, fuel coordination, supply runs, and weather contingency planning. BPK builds these requirements into the deployment plan from contract start.
Are units rated for Mountain West winters?
Yes. All-weather and Alaskan cold-weather rated configurations are standard for Mountain West deployments. Insulation, heating, and freeze-protection systems are sized for sub-zero operations.
What is the typical duration of a mining workforce camp?
Mining camps typically run 2–5 years from initial deployment through construction and early operational phases. BPK configures long-duration camps with sustainability features and serviceability for extended operations.
Does BPK transition camps to permanent infrastructure?
Mining operations typically transition from temporary camp housing to permanent infrastructure as the operation matures. BPK supports phase-out planning, asset disposition, and decommissioning at end of camp lifecycle.
